Mission

AI4Rad Lab explores medical-imaging AI for real clinical settings. On one side, we build tools that genuinely assist clinicians and improve the efficiency and quality of diagnosis and care; on the other, we use frontier AI to uncover the physiological and pathological mechanisms encoded in medical-imaging representations — turning imaging into a window onto disease.

Who we are

The lab is based in the Department of Radiology at Shanghai Sixth People's Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine. We bring together clinicians, engineers, and students, and organize our work around four core AI capabilities — vision foundation models, multimodal large language models, image generation, and spatial intelligence & physical simulation — applied across the clinical imaging directions of radiology.
